The Intel Core i7-6700K is a desktop processor with 4 cores and 8 threads, launched in Jul 2015. It utilizes the Intel LGA1151 socket. The Core i7-6700K has 8 MB of L3 cache and operates at 4.00 GHz by default. The unlocked multiplier on the Core i7-6700K makes it much easier to overclock, allowing you to choose any desired frequency. Thanks to Intel Hyper-Threading the core-count is effectively doubled to 8 threads. This processor supports memory speeds up to DDR4-2133 utilizing dual memory channels. The processor was built using 14 nm production process. This processor features the Intel HD Graphics 530 integrated graphics.
