The Ryzen 9 5900X has 64 MB of L3 cache and operates at 3.70 GHz by default, but can boost up to 4.80 GHz, depending on the workload. The unlocked multiplier on the Ryzen 9 5900X makes it much easier to overclock, allowing you to choose any desired frequency. Thanks to AMD Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) the core-count is effectively doubled to 24 threads. This processor supports memory speeds up to DDR4-3200 utilizing dual memory channels. The processor was built using 7 nm production process. Ryzen 9 5900X communicates with other components in the computer through a PCI-Express Gen 4 link.
